This week will be a busy one in Preschool! On Tuesday we are excited to celebrate the impending arrival of Miss Ashly’s baby boy. Remember, Tuesday is an Early Dismissal day and so the 4 year old class is coming to school in the morning from 9:00 to 10:45. All 3 year old students and all parents are welcome to attend the shower at 9:45. This week in our clothes study the topic is where do we get our clothes. On Thursday our question of the day is about describing a favorite shirt. It would be helpful if your child wore his/her favorite shirt on Thursday to make it easier to describe it. This week we will also incorporate some Valentine's Day activities and rhyming activities. Here are our plans for the week:
Monday
Today both classes will read Clifford's First Valentine's Day and then we will make Clifford entirely out of hearts. The morning class will also work on counting hearts and coloring. The afternoon class will work on position words by playing position word bingo and then completing a worksheet.
Tuesday
Today we will not have a question of the day or small group time due to Vision and Hearing screening. Instead we will do table top activities related to math and early literacy as kids are coming and going to get their eyes and ears checked.
Large Group - talk about where clothes come from
Story – Something From Nothing
At the art table we will be making special bags to put our Valentine's in.
