This week we will continue talking about reducing, re-using and recycling. The important topic this week is where the garbage goes. We will read a book about recycling and watch a dvd about what happens to the garbage and recycling once it is picked up from our homes. Here are our detailed plans for the week:
Monday:
Today both classes did a color mixing activity. We read the book Mouse Paint and then we used finger paint to mix primary colors to make secondary colors. This activity was great color naming practice for those who needed it and for the others it was a science/sensory activity.
The morning class also did some sorting and sang Old McDonald and finally we sorted pictures of animals into 2 categories, those that live in the zoo and those who live on a farm.
The afternoon class was introduced to this weeks letter, which is W and did some alphabet activities.
